Why Did You Decide to
Become a Dentist?
Dr. Bloom first became interested in dentistry while he was a sophomore in high school. His dentist at the time jokingly said during one of his appointments that after finishing college and dental school, he was welcome to come back and become a partner at the practice. This one offhand remark ended up inspiring a lifelong career path that’s lasted 50 years and counting!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Bloom attended Norwich University in Vermont and then achieved his dental doctorate at New York University College of Dentistry. In the years since, he has become a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (which is a distinction that very few general practitioners ever reach) and has also elevated his education with state-of-the-art training at the world-renowned Pankey Institute and Las Vegas institute. In addition to the AGD, he is currently a member of the following organizations:
- American Dental Association
- Massachusetts Dental Association
- New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Bloom is happily married and has seven delightful grandchildren. When he has free time, his various hobbies keep him busy, including making stained glass and jewelry, woodworking, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. He also plays several musical instruments, including the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet!
